Transfer inventory between stores

You have 20 phones at one store and want to send 5 to another. Move stock between your stores without losing the trail: accessories and parts by quantity, phones by picking which IMEIs go.

  1. Switch to the store it leaves from

At the top, pick the store that physically has the stock today. A transfer always leaves the store you are currently in, so start there.

  2. Find the product and tap Transfer

In Inventory, find the product. On its row, tap Transfer. A greyed-out button means that store has no stock of it, or your company has only one store.

  3. Pick the receiving store

Choose the destination store from the list. Only stores in your own company appear.

  4. Say how many, or which ones

For accessories and parts, type the quantity. For phones tracked by IMEI there is no quantity box: tick which devices go, one by one, or use Select all. That is deliberate — the receiving store needs to know which phone arrived, not how many.

  5. Confirm and check

Stock drops at the sending store and rises at the receiving one. On the product's detail, the movement ledger shows one entry out and one in, with who did it and when.

Why are phones picked one by one?

A phone tracked by IMEI is not "one more unit": it is that device, with its own serial, cost and history. If the system moved only the total, inventory would say "5 at store B" while all 5 IMEIs are still registered at store A — and when someone went to sell one, the device would not be where the system said. Picking the IMEIs means what moves in the system is exactly what moves in the drawer.

Who can transfer

The owner, and any employee with the manage inventory permission. If someone cannot see the button, check their permissions under Employees.
