Set up your store

This is the half hour that saves you a hundred small annoyances later. Everything here lives under Settings, and almost none of it needs to be touched twice.

  1. Your stores

Name, address and phone of each location — this is what prints on the receipt and shows on your website. If you have more than one, each keeps its own stock, its own registers and its own numbers.

  2. Tax, the way your country does it

In the United States tax is added on top of the price. In Australia and other countries it is already included in the price shown. Set the mode per store and the receipt comes out right without you doing math.

  3. The receipt: logo and terms

Upload your logo and write your terms and conditions — warranty, devices left behind, what you do not take responsibility for. It prints on every receipt, which is the moment it matters if there is ever an argument.

  4. Cash registers

Set up your numbered registers so each shift opens and closes against a real drawer. That is what makes the Z-report and the shift handover mean something at the end of the day.

  5. Shortcuts for what you do all day

Repair templates: the problem and price you type twenty times a week, saved as a chip you click at intake. Quick-sale buttons: cards for the screen protector and the charger, configurable per store. Both cut seconds off every transaction, all day.

  6. Decide whether a sale needs a customer

Some shops want a customer on every ticket for the history and the marketing. Others sell a $5 cable and do not want to slow the line down. Set the policy per store — and if you require it, there is a Walk-in option for the ones who really do not want to give their name.
