Take card payments with Clover

Typing the total into the terminal by hand is where the $180 repair gets charged as $18. Connecting Clover removes the keypad from the process entirely.

  1. Connect your Clover account

From the integrations screen, start the connection and log in with your own Clover credentials on Clover’s site. We never see your password — Clover hands back a permission, not your login.

  2. Pick which terminal

If you have more than one device, choose the one that sits at that counter. That is the one the amounts will be sent to.

  3. Charge from the POS

When you collect, pick card and the amount appears on the terminal. The customer taps or inserts, and the sale is only marked paid when Clover actually approves it.

  4. Test it before the first customer

There is a ping that checks the terminal is reachable. Use it after you connect — better to find out now than with someone waiting at the counter.
