Activations

Activate lines and sell SIMs

Activations are money most shops leave uncounted: the commission arrives weeks later, from a different place, and never makes it into the numbers. Recorded here, it shows up as what it is — profit from work you already did.

  1. Pick the carrier and the operation

A new activation, or a port-in when the customer is bringing their existing number across. They are different jobs and they pay differently.

  2. Take the SIM from your stock

Choose the physical SIM by its ICCID and it leaves inventory in the same action. The system will not let you assign one you do not have for that carrier — which is how you avoid promising a SIM that is not in the drawer.

  3. Decide whether the SIM is charged

Sometimes it is included, sometimes the customer pays for it. Say which, and the sale reflects reality instead of an assumption.

  4. For a port-in, take the number carefully

The number being ported is the one thing that cannot be wrong. Enter it from the customer’s own phone rather than from memory.

  5. The commission counts

Your profit per carrier is configured once, and every activation records it. At the end of the month you can see what this line of business actually paid you.
